{ monday funday }

December 8th started out like any other Monday.
Long.

After lunch recess I knew that I only had 45 minutes until the AM kids left. As I went to go get my kids from recess, a coworker randomly said to me, "let's get out of here early today."

I thought, "We have meetings until 4pm..."

I walk into my classroom and half of my kids are already in there F R E A K I N G out. Like, they were all screaming at me. On my desk there were pink, frosted, sugar cookies and a Diet Coke.

Kids were yelling, "A guy left these on your desk and then left!" "But it wasn't Breck because he didn't have a mustache!" I love that they automatically assumed it was him. Finally one student said, "I thought I saw him go into Mrs. Donithorne's class!"

That's when it hit me. Was it him? Breck had Mrs. Donithorne when he was in 2nd grade (cute huh), and had been in her class a time before this year.

I tried to calm my kids down (impossible at this point) and said whoever it was might be back. To be honest, I also thought it could have been a parent or sibling dropping off a birthday treat because my class had a lot of birthdays.

Within a few minutes, they were screaming again, "HERE HE COMES!"
And in walks Breck :)
Surprised? You can say that again.
And his fishy-ness from the night before was all making sense.

That night we went to Temple Square with my family and then to Cheesecake Factory for dinner #nomnomnom

visitors

It is rare when Adrienne comes to Utah. Kind of like rare it is that I drink Pepsi (okay, I never drink Pepsi). It was so fun having her, Savannah and Tommy in town. They've been living with my parents in Spokane while Scott is doing one last rotation in San Francisco before he graduates medical school.

Since they came to Utah, it was fun for them to come see my classroom. They literally came and hung out for a couple of hours. Savannah thought she was SO big. Courtney, was very unsure and did not like my students. Although, she's kind of a celebrity in my classroom. All my students have Team Courtney shirts and wristbands. They always ask how she is doing and think Courtney is the cutest.

Tommy was so funny in my class. He does this little bum scoot to get around and my students were rolling. They thought it was the funniest thing. I was so glad to have some visitors and glad that whenever they come into my classroom, they know to bring a Diet Coke. Thanks Mom and Dad!

classroom pictures

It's a jungle out there.

Or maybe just in room 124.

Either way, we are wild about learning!

konfused.

Sometimes life is confusing.

Especially for my Kardashians.
They are pretty konfused lately.
I kan't keep up, kall me krazy.

No but really, life can be confusing.

Sometimes life has you wondering. And sometimes you need a change. Nothing crazy, usually something small. That's where I'm at. I need a change. Or maybe I am used to constant change and THINK I need one, but don't.
Or maybe I just need a shopping spree and a diet coke. Maybe that's all I need.

Speaking of change, fall is by far my favorite season. I love all the colors in fall.
The other week my kiddos made leaf monsters. I loved this one. Ninja turtle?

Oh, and partying with these peeps?
Nothing makes me happier.

NBA preseason has begun.
And I am pretty stoked about it.
Plus, that new jumbotron is pretty rad.

If you need me, I'll be relaxing.
Watching a lot of Eric and Jessie in bed.
Reading. Getting a massage. Or just painting my nails.
THANK YOU FALL BREAK // I NEEDED YOU.
